After arriving in 2024, we are now based in Japan, where we are working to build a strong foundation for long-term ministry. Japan is a country rich in culture, history, and opportunity. Yet many people live without the hope of the Gospel. While outwardly stable and prosperous, there remains a deep spiritual need, as the majority of people have never heard a clear presentation of the truth of Jesus Christ. What We Are Doing Now Our current focus is on laying the groundwork for future ministry. We are studying the Japanese language full-time, with the goal of clearly communicating the Gospel, teaching the Bible, and discipling believers in a way that is understandable and effective in this culture. At the same time, we are actively serving in a local Japanese church, working alongside a national pastor and learning how ministry is carried out in Japan. This time of preparation is essential as we grow in both language ability and cultural understanding. Our family is also building relationships within the community, as we seek to live and minister faithfully where God has placed us. Looking Forward As the Lord continues to lead, our desire is to see a local, Japanese church established and strengthened. In the coming years, we plan to expand outreach into a new area of ministry, with the goal of beginning Bible studies, building relationships, and seeing individuals come to Christ. Over time, we hope to see a body of believers formed, growing together in the Word of God, and ultimately becoming a self-sustaining, Japanese-led church. Our Burden Jesus Christ died on the cross for people of every nation. Yet in Japan, many have never heard the Gospel even once. The need is great, and the opportunity is real.
